Serenity Now

We are coming off an extra long weekend for our family as we spent a few days yurt camping up at Pearl Lake, north of Steamboat. I'll be honest, it was pretty darn spectacular up there. We went with friends who live in Steamboat and it was just the 8 of us for 3 days of mostly checked out bliss. If you are looking for peace and serenity, this is your spot!

The yurts had electricity and heat so we were warm and cozy, nestled up in the trees with views of the frozen lake. We did lots of skinning, got some fresh powder turns, and the kids got to play all day long. It all went smoothly aside from a few hot spots on Reagan's feet after our family skin session and our pup eating a half pound of cheese, a bag of pepperoni and 1/4c of butter while we were out playing...apparently she loves the finer things in life...

We got home in time to host Crochet and Play last night at Wild and Free. Stay tuned as we get another date in February for our next crochet class!

Please note that we are closed this coming Saturday, 1/28 for birthday parties.

Tomorrow is Lego Night and with next Wednesday (2/1) being the 1st of the month, we have Community Charcuterie (the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month).

I hope you have a fantastic week and weekend! We are in the bowels of winter right now and it can be rough - warmer, brighter days are coming...make sure to get out of the house and take care of yourself...cold walks, warm baths/showers, a good book, crafting, some hot cocoa, playtime at Wild and Free...cozy in and recharge your batteries. You'll be rushing around to parks, bike rides, camps and the like before you know it!

Stay Wild and Free,

Michelle
