January Events at Wild and Free
Happy New Years to you!
We had one of my favorite family skiing days ever on Sunday the 1st. I love going out early on New Years day...we didn't wait in any lines, everyone was content, and the snow was amazing.
We are in such a sweet spot with our kiddos and skiing and it is something I am extremely grateful for. While they aren't always thrilled to wake up early to get out, we typically have a great time ripping all over the mountain together. Trees, bumps, powder, groomers...they'll rock it all and I couldn't be happier about it. Seriously. This didn't come without years of swapping runs when they were babies, followed by lots of time on the magic carpet and long hours on the groomers. There have been (and still are) PLENTY of tears, GALLONS of hot cocoa, and LOTS of candy to keep spirits up and legs fresh. I hope that if you aspire to raise a family of snow enthusiasts, you know that it can happen! I also hope that you know it isn't always pretty and that's okay - it makes it all that much sweeter when everything starts to come together.
This January we are continuing the Community Charcuterie. Through the winter, we will be offering this fun perk on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. Stop in for complimentary charcuterie with your admission starting at 4p. Advanced reservations are appreciated but not required.
Friends of the Dillon Ranger District is back at Wild and Free on Tuesday, January 10th at 4:30p for their popular Play and Learn session! If you haven't been - this is a great chance for your kiddos to get up and personal with pelts and (rubber) scat from animals that call Summit County home. FDRD will have a table set up with all the goodies for kids to check out in between playing at Wild and Free. This event is included with your admission!
On January 24th, we will be hosting another Crochet and Play event! Local mama, Courtney, will be back to help you craft a valentine themed project. All the supplies, playtime for 1 kiddo, 1 adult drink and 1 snack are all included in your $30 admission! Wild and Free members are $25. Registration will open shortly - keep an eye out for this fun event in our upcoming newsletters!
Finally - Lego Night is every Thursday from 4p until 6p. Stop in and enjoy 10% off at the bar and we'll have legos set out in the cafe area for the big kids to play with!
