Hours Update and New Classes
We are having a proper fall here in Summit County...though we all know the snow is coming!
If you haven't already - it might be a good time to make sure that your kids' snow gear from last year still fits...we tried on all the gear in our house this weekend and our kids have grown many inches since we hung up the skis in April.
The old adage that "there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing" rings especially true here in the mountains. Quality gear will make all your winter outdoor adventures that much better. It is no fun to be cold and wet. Check out our local thrift stores to score awesome deals on second-hand clothing from reputable brands that will stand up to multiple seasons out in the snow. If you are more of an online shopper - Patagonia and REI both have second-hand sites where you can get great discounts on gear.
Now for the updates:
We are going to start evening hours in November. Beginning November 1st, we will be open 10a - 6p on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Here is what our weekly schedule will look like:
Monday: 10a - 4p (starting 10/24!)
Tuesday: 10a - 6p
Wednesday: 10a - 6p
Thursday: 10a - 6p
Friday: 10a - 4p
Saturday: 10a - 4p
Sunday: Open every other week, 10a - 4p (starting 10/23!)
Starting November 3rd, we are going to have Lego Happy Hour from 4p to 6p. Come by with your kiddos and we'll have a million (literally) Legos out on the tables in the cafe for you and your kids to create with. Regular admission rates apply (Memberships and Punchpasses are accepted!). Legos won't be allowed out into the grass to keep our littlest kiddos safe. Adults enjoy 10% off drinks at the bar during Lego Happy Hour!
Thursday mornings (starting November 3rd) we are going to have a "Lil' Foodies" class! What is the one thing that every kid at Wild and Free asks for? Snacks. Here is your chance to head off the snack requests (no packing a snack required!) and get some playtime in! Thursdays at 10:30a we will have a kid friendly snack session - Wild and Free will provide all the snack materials for kiddos to help create their own healthy, delicious snack. Once snack time is over, you are welcome to hang out and play as long as you'd like. Cost for the class and playtime is $15/child ($5/child if your child already has a membership).
Speaking of memberships - our Wild and Free Memberships are going to increase in price starting November 1st. If you are thinking about getting a membership, now is the time. If you already have a membership at the discounted rate, you will be grandfathered in until you pause/cancel your membership. If your membership is on pause right now, you will have to re-start it before November 1st in order to get the discounted rate.
We have a brand new Baby Bird Art class starting in November...and this is unlike any previous Baby Bird Art session!
Join The Frosted Flamingo mobile art studio at Wild and Free for 3 art classes designed for babies and toddlers ages 1-4. In each class, children will focus on a different medium and experiment with various techniques to create unique and beautiful works of art.
PAINT: Wednesday 11/2, 10:30-11:30am
CLAY: Wednesday 11/9, 10:30-11:30am
COLLAGE: Wednesday 11/16, 10:30-11:30am
NOTES: Classes will be guided but children will have time to move at their own pace. We ask that each child be assisted by a parent or guardian as needed. Cost includes materials, tools, instructions, and aprons. $18/class. Previous Baby Birds are encouraged to attend this newly formatted class!
