I feel like there are 2 camps (see what I did there?) when it comes to camping..."heck yes" or "oh heck no". We fall into the "heck yes" category. Arguably, our kids sleep better in a tent than in their beds.
We aren't going camping yet, but that doesn't mean we can't re-create the camping experience at home with our kids. Even if you are an "oh heck no" when it comes to camping...maybe at home camping is the perfect way to expose your family to camping...while still spending the night in your own bed :)
If you are interested in checking out pack-able hammocks, check out Trek Light. We have their double hammock and it easily holds two adults. They are super easy to set up and pack up perfectly to take camping. We always camp where we can set up a couple of hammocks. They are indispensable toys when we are camping...and we regularly have them set up at home too.
If you don't have any go-to camping recipes, there are plenty of online resources for you to peruse. When you are cooking at home, it is infinitely easier since you don't have to worry about keeping things cold and having all the ingredients. I will do a whole separate post on cooking while camping, but for now, check out some of these recipes for inspiration for your home camping experience: Camping Recipes
