Books for Your Reading List

We are library regulars in our household. It makes me twitchy to not have a book on my bedside table, and the girls love exploring the shelves and bringing home something new to read. Winter is the perfect time to reconnect with reading, especially now when things are still running a little slower than usual and the holiday hustle is behind us.

Here are some of our favorite outdoor/adventure books that you can add to your reading list. I've included links to the books on a fantastic, online, second-hand book store. Buying used is the next best thing to borrowing from the library!

For the kiddos:

Miss Maples Seeds

Planting a Rainbow

The Great Kapok Tree

The Fletcher the Fox Books

The Magic School Bus Books

A Camping Spree with Mr. Magee

Learning to Ski with Mr. Magee

We are the Gardeners

Hatchet

Magic Treehouse Books

Books by James Herriot

Fancy Nancy: Stellar Stargazer

The Hike

If you are interested in reading about nature, adventure, farming, or the benefits of living a nature-full life :), here are some great reads that I've come across for grown-ups:

Last Child in the Woods

Vitamin N

There's No Such Thing as Bad Weather

A Walk in the Woods

Animal Vegetable Miracle: A Year of Food Life

Welcome to the Goddamn Ice Cube

Wild

Do you have any books that you can add to this list? I am always on the lookout for a new story so I'd love to hear your suggestions!

Stay Wild and Free,

Michelle
